Resume Writing Service

Did You Know?

The most qualified people do not land the interviews—the people who appear most qualified do. To stand out in a stack of resumes, you need a flawlessly written, skillfully crafted marketing document that showcases your skills and qualifications, and our professional resume services can help get the job done. The quality of our professional resume writing and editing services rests in the excellence of our talent.

Human Resource professionals quickly screen out hundreds of resumes a week. The few that survive the initial screening process will then be subjected to a more careful scrutiny before valuable time is invested in an interview. Our professionally written resumes dramatically increase your response rate — and substantially shorten your job-search time. Landing a job is more presentation than actual skills and abilities. Quite often, the candidate who gets the job is not always the most qualified; rather, the candidate with the best presentation gets hired. We know what employers want, and in the hands of our expert writers, your resume becomes a powerful marketing tool that skillfully conveys the nuances and details necessary to reaching your goals: what information should be emphasized — what should be included or eliminated — based upon your unique circumstances, background, and goals.

Read up on the company with which you will be interviewing and prepare some questions of your own. This lets the interviewer know that you are truly interested in the company and the position. And make sure you have good directions to the interview site. You may want to make a dry run to the interview site to ensure the directions are correct and to estimate the amount of time you will need to get there on time!
Being well-prepared will boost your confidence and lower your anxiety. Experts recommend that you spend at least three hours preparing for each interview. You should draft answers to the most common interview questions and practice speaking them out loud. Note: We include a FREE pdf bonus on the 15 most difficult Questions interviewers ask and how to best respond to them with a purchase of any of our resume packages.
Men–Wear a conservative suit that is well cut, and of quality cloth. The suit should be either navy blue or grey. The basic business suit is single breasted, and two-piece. Classic long-sleeved white shirt. A yellow, red, or blue coordinating simple silk tie. Ties should always cover the belt buckle. Shoes are always black or cordovan, and not the moccasin type. Socks should be black or navy and cover calves. Avoid using cologne or aftershave on job interviews. Jewelry should be kept to a minimum, a watch and college ring are sufficient. Hair should be conservatively cut and off the collar.

Women–A skirted suit that is well tailored, it can be wool for the winter, or a blend for the spring and summer. The best colors are navy blue or grey. Solid colored blouses, silk or cotton, of a white or pastel color. Classic pumps, with a low or medium heel. The best colors for versatility are navy, and black. Jewelry is to be kept simple; small stud earrings rather than hanging ones are appropriate. Avoid excessive necklaces, rings and bracelets, as they will be a distraction. Make-up should be simple and appropriate for daywear. Use a light touch on eye shadow and blush. Lipstick should be soft colored. The basic rule in make-up is to look simple and natural.
Ask for the position if you are interested. Ask for the next interviews if the situation demands. If the position is offered to you, and you want it, accept it on the spot. If you wish time to think it over, be courteous and tactful in asking for that time. Set a definite date when you can provide an answer. DO NOT be too discouraged if no definite offer is made or specific salary discussed. The interviewer will probably want to communicate with the office first. If you get the impression that the interview is not going well and that you have already been rejected, do not let your discouragement show. Often an interviewer who is genuinely interested in your possibilities may seem to discourage you in order to test your reaction. Express thanks for the interviewer’s time and consideration of you. Tell the interviewer you are very interested in the career opportunity and are ready for the next step. Ask for the next interview. Send a follow-up letter.
The best time to arrive for an interview is precisely when it's scheduled, and certainly not late. Arrive at the interview location early. Make certain you understand who you are meeting with ahead of time. The mental preparation for meeting with the CFO is different than for an internal recruiter. Carry a leather folder, not a (cumbersome) briefcase. Take notes only after the interview. The more conservative dress and appearance, the better. Always use a firm handshake, one shake is enough. Sit when offered a seat. Do not slouch, of course, but a slight lean forward will show interest and friendliness. Do not discuss politics, religion or sex. Walk tall and don't look back when leaving. Keep your answers concise and to the point. Maintain eye contact no less than 90% of the time.
